About Ask For A Date ❤️
Ask For A Date is an online creative invitation experience. It takes the most nerve-wracking sentence in the world — “Will you go on a date with me?” — and wraps it in something warm, playful and easy to answer.
Why we built it
Most people don't struggle with wanting to ask someone out. They struggle with the moment itself: the timing, the words, the silence while they wait. We wanted to give that moment a friendlier shape — a small invitation with two puppies in it that says the thing for you, and gives the other person space to answer on their own terms.
How we think about consent
The playful animations are the surface. Underneath, one rule shapes the whole product: the person being asked stays in control. They decide yes or no, they choose the date, they choose the time, and they can leave the invitation at any point. Nothing on Ask For Date is designed to pressure anyone into a yes.
Who writes the Ask For A Date blog
Articles are written and edited by the Ask For A Date team — the same small group that designs and builds the product. We write from our own experience of planning dates and from what we learn from people using the site. We don't claim to be therapists, counsellors or relationship experts, and we don't publish advice we wouldn't follow ourselves. Where a topic touches safety or wellbeing, we keep it practical and conservative.
Every article shows its author, publication date and last updated date. If something on the blog is inaccurate or out of date, tell us and we'll fix it.
Where we are
Ask For A Date is built in India, and much of our content is written with Indian cities, seasons and everyday realities in mind. The invitations themselves work anywhere.
